The Well—Group Wellness Circle

An hour long Free Monthly Virtual Class dedicated to caregivers and women in hormonal transitions.

Stephanie Sandleben, FMCHC

Monday, April 28th 12pm - 1pm, PST

On-going the last Monday of each month

Amidst these tumultuous times, I’ve been searching for a way to provide some comfort and ease to those who already have too much on their plates.

Each month’s circle will have a dedicated topic including practical strategies, mind-body exercises, journal prompts and opportunities for sharing.

Connecting to Support and Organizing Community Care is the focus for our April circle. You can sign-up for each monthly circle individually or save your spot each month.

For May, Addressing Chronic Fatigue and Pain will be our focus and we’ll look at ways to nurture pleasure and decrease triggers.

And the best part, this is free for anyone subscribed to my newsletter!

It’s hard to know where to start in your wellness journey. Self care seems like a luxury rather than a necessity for those who are juggling parenting, caretaking and careers.

However, when we’re struggling and others are dependent on us, everyone in our ecosystem suffers, too.

Connecting to Support and Organizing Community Care

12 - 1pm, PST April 28th

Self-care for caregivers is dependent on community care. As mothers, we often hear the metaphor of putting on our oxygen mask first. However, when you are responsible for the wellbeing of children, partners, and elders this just isn’t realistic. As caregivers, we’re often the first to sacrifice our needs in service of others.

Self-care requires a scaffolding of support both physically and emotionally.

Community care is a system of support and services within our local communities to meet our health, social, and wellness needs.

What we’ll cover in this class:

  • Mind-body practices like meditation to somatically experience support from our environment.

  • Building a support network, including how to seek help from partners, family, and community resources.

  • Practicing asking for help and exploration of the blocks against receiving.

  • Practice with setting healthy boundaries; learning how to say “no” to additional responsibilities when you’re already overextended. (This is a repeat from last month but so important!)

This class is for you if:

  • You are currently juggling way more than seems sane for any one human.

  • You are a caregiver to children, aging parents or loved ones.

  • You identify with being in “The Sandwich” generation.

  • You are going through a hormonal life transition—becoming a parent/mother, postpartum or perimenopause.

Say “yes” to support and join us the last Monday of each month for The Well—Group Wellness Circle!

*Upon registration You will be added to The Sama Mama’s newsletter to receive monthly reflections and helpful ways to navigate being human along with early announcements on classes and workshops.
